One workflow, improved properly

Engagements are scoped small on purpose. The aim is a working improvement you can keep using, not a report.

Primary offer

Workflow Fix Sprint

A short, focused engagement to improve one repetitive, slow, error-prone, or hard-to-track workflow.

What is included

  • A walkthrough of the workflow as it runs today, with the people who run it
  • A baseline: how long it takes, how often it runs, where it breaks
  • Simplification first—removing steps before automating them
  • A working pilot built on representative examples
  • Access controls, human review points, logging, and exception handling
  • Testing of normal cases, exceptions, missing information, duplicates, and failures
  • A measured result against the baseline, plus documentation and handover

What it is not

  • Replacing a core system or running a platform migration
  • Removing human accountability from decisions that need it
  • Ongoing 24/7 support

Working duration for a low-complexity workflow: around 10 days. Scope, timing, and fees are confirmed in writing before any work starts.

Supporting patterns

Shapes an engagement often takes

These are reusable patterns adapted to each workflow, chosen because a solo consultant can build and support them well.

Document flow automation

Intake, classification, checking, and routing of documents that arrive by email or upload—with a human review step where judgement is needed.

Knowledge finder pilot

A controlled way to search and answer questions across your own documents, scoped to a defined set of material with clear access rules.

Operations visibility dashboard

A single view of what is in progress, waiting, late, or stuck—built from the systems and files you already use.

Request and approval flow

A recorded path for requests and decisions, so nothing lives only in an email thread and status is visible to the people who need it.

Practical automation opportunity scan

A short review of a small set of candidate workflows to identify which one is worth doing first, and why.

Managed optimization

Ongoing tuning and small improvements within explicit, agreed limits. This is not a 24/7 managed service.

On pricing

Fees are quoted per engagement once the workflow boundary is clear. Nothing is published here, and I do not quote a figure before I understand the process.

On AI

Applied AI is used only where it improves the outcome. For many workflows a simple rule, a form, or a removed step performs better and is easier to maintain.

Have one process in mind?

Tell me about a single workflow that is repetitive, slow, unreliable, or hard to track. We will look at that one first.
